Frequently Asked Questions About Coaching

What’s the difference between coaching and counselling?

The purpose of counseling is to help you solve problems by understanding what happened in the past.  Coaching, on the other hand, deals with creating a better future.  While we may discuss your past, only as it directly relates to the way it is affecting your present situation, our coaching sessions will be spent identifying your goals and dreams and coming up with actionable strategies to achieve them.

Is coaching the same as training or mentoring?

Training tells you what to do in a given situation or under certain circumstances.  While I will education you and teach new skills, I do not tell you what to do.  I work with strong women who already have the answers.  My job is simply to help you discover it.

Is coaching with Rising Phoenix Abuse Recovery Coaching™ right for me?

If you are a survivor who is ready to take back your life and see real change AND you’re ready to do the work to make it happen, then coaching will be excellent for you.  I will challenge, motivate, and empower you to live the life of your dreams.  My proven system is designed to produce lasting results.  We will work in partnership to identify your true desires and create a strategy for accomplishing it.

If you are still actively experiencing abuse and need assistance leaving a volatile situation, you will be better served by contacting The National Domestic Violence Hotline for assistance finding a safe house.  They can be reached at (800) 799-7233.

How does coaching work?

The coaching process differs between clients and evolves over time with each individual.  A typical session lasts about 45 minutes.  Most sessions will be centered around the area you’re currently struggling with most and customized curriculum, homework and action items may be assigned accordingly.  Rising Phoenix is a nonreligious, yet spiritually-based, practice.  Based upon your personal beliefs, sessions may include prayer, meditation or energy work as appropriate.

In addition to weekly sessions, one-on-one coaching clients also receive a number of flash calls for check-ins between sessions.  As additional support for your journey, you will also receive access to monthly workshops and conference calls, VIP access to private events, and lifetime membership to our exclusive virtual support group.

How long will we work together?

We offer a number of convenient packages based upon your goals and objectives.  Once your initial coaching agreement is fulfilled, you will receive a 10% discount if you choose to renew your contract.
